Neil graduated from the University College of Wales Aberystwyth, qualified as solicitor in 1978 and has since practiced with Passmores.
Neil is a consultant with a particular interest in employment law, charities and the elderly client. He is a member of both the Law Society’s probate section and Solicitors for the Elderly.
Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and became a partner in 1990. Catherine deals with children’s matters in both private and public law proceedings. She also deals with issues arising from relationship breakdown, which includes divorce and financial ancillary relief proceedings, civil partnerships, cohabitee disputes, domestic violence, pre-nuptial agreements and all issues relating to children including care proceedings instigated by local authorities.
Catherine specialises in cases of child abduction and international child law and is a member of the International Child Abduction Panel and deals with applications under the Hague Convention. Catherine is an accredited member of the Law Society Family Law Advanced Panel, the Children Panel and is a Resolution Panel Specialist. In addition, she is a solicitor advocate who has higher rights of audience in the civil courts.
Catherine also acts as a trustee for a local Women’s Aid and sits part time as a Tribunal Judge. She is also a trained mediator.
Sally joined the firm in 1996 and qualified as a solicitor in 1996 becoming a partner in 2002.
Sally has many years experience in dealing with the financial issues that arise upon separation or divorce/dissolution to include high net worth cases.
In addition, Sally can advise you regarding the benefits of entering into a pre-nuptial or cohabitation agreement.
Sally is experienced in private children proceedings to include applications for contact or residence.
Sally is recommended by the legal 500, where she is described as “knowledgeable, professional, helpful and never flustered” and a “well regarded specialist in domestic violence issues”.
Sally is an accredited specialist member of resolution in financial relief and domestic violence.
Sally has been a collaborative lawyer since 2010 and Is a member of the South Wales pod. She is fully committed to working collaboratively.
Carli graduated from Cardiff University in 2003 followed by the Legal Practice Course also at Cardiff University in 2004.
Carli qualified as a solicitor in summer 2006 and joined Passmores as a private client solicitor shortly thereafter. She subsequently became a partner in 2011.
Carli has particular experience in Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work but also has a general interest in elderly client matters and conveyancing.
She is a fluent Welsh speaker and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly. She also, in 2013 became a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
She has conducted talks for the Alzheimer’s Society, local women’s guilds meetings and for Age Concern.
Julie joined Pasmores in 1979 and has been a valued member of the practice ever since.
Having spent more than 30 years in Passmores, Julie has gained valuable legal and practical experience. Having obtained further qualifications with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, Julie has developed to become the practice’s conveyancing executive dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing.
Jacqui is our legal cashier and practice manager but has worked with Passmores for a considerable number of years and from her experience has a good working knowledge of many aspects of work in a solicitors office and has previously been one of our legal executive conveyancers.
Jacqui is a member of the Institute of Legal Cashiers and deals with all aspects of the accounting within the office including frequently dealing directly with the clients as well as the partners and support staff in relation to all cash and accounts matters. As practice manager Jacqui is called upon to deal with a very large variety of issues for both the clients, partners and staff on a daily basis.
Jacqui also has a very good working knowledge of all our Legal Services Commission publicly funded contract work.
