The potential threat of removing a child from its family is one of the worst possible experiences for parents.

Since before the Children Act came into operation in 1990 our firm has built up a wealth of experience in acting for both children and parents. Two of our partners Glyn Hughes and Catherine Roblin are members of the Law Society's Childcare Panel, which means that they can be appointed to represent children in childcare cases. In addition Ms Roblin is a member of the Law Society's Family Panel, recognising her years of exp#erience representing clients in family matters.

Much of the trauma of childcare hearings can be reduced by seeking advice at an early stage from solicitors experienced in these complicated matters.

Our expertise has shown that working with the Social Services can reduce the risk of children being removed from families and can help to provide the support which is often needed to keep families together. We have many years experience of working with Social Services for the benefit of clients and have a reputation of supporting clients at case conferences and working effectively with other professionals for the benefit of our clients and their children.

Wherever possible Mr Hughes and Ms Roblin endeavour to represent their clients themselves at all hearings and at all meetings so that clients can have the confidence of knowing that their representative is fully aware of all developments throughout their case.

Community Legal Service Funding is available for childcare matters.
